Today ASCO Industries is engaged in a broad range of development, engineering, manufacturing and assembly activities providing multidisciplinary subcontracting services to various markets and aerospace programs around the world.

Asco operates from four locations, Belgium, Canada Germany and the United States of America, with over 1300 employees and a turnover exceeding 250 million euros.

Asco produces over 2,500 assemblies every month and has the ambition to be a world leader in design and manufacture of high lift devices, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components for the aerospace industry.

 

Context

As a supplier of Aerospace components it is Asco’s mission to deliver components that can be fitted to the final assembly lines of our customers. Our production process includes machining, inspection, quality control, surface treatment and assembly. Over the years Asco has invested in several state of the art equipments.

The production group is organized in 4 independent operating units within each group around 150 blue collars. First line management consists of supervisors (each responsible for /- 30 operators and /- 2 Process Technicians) who report to the flow team manager.

 

Job Description

  • People Management: First line management towards the operators ( /- 30 people) and 2 Process Technicians.
  • Security and Lean: Assure a safe and ergonomic work environment taking into account the LEAN principles.
  • Training and coaching: Assure that the workers get all necessary qualifications in collaboration with the Training Manager. He/she acts as a coach toward his/her collaborators.
  • Operational Management: Make sure that all operational, quality and safety procedures are followed and take corrective actions if necessary.
  • Planning: Execution of the planning and distribution of the work force. Redefine this planning while taking into account present boundaries and planned maintenance in order to reduce the changeover time, guarantee the quality and assure production.
  • KPI's: Taking preventive and corrective actions to assure that the quality, productivity, safety, planning and cost goals are realized.
  • Continuous Improvement: Initiate, encourage and execute the continuous improvement initiatives.

Education : Bachelor or industrial engineer Mechanics or Electro-Mechanics or equal by experience

Languages : Mother tongue French or Dutch and good knowledge of the other language, and experience in English.
